ANDY NELSON

Chesapeake, VA
Glover U Coach

Andy Nelson is a proud husband, father, and US Navy Veteran. Along with his business partners, Andy owns and operates five real estate brokerages across southeastern Virginia and northeast North Carolina, leading nearly 200 real estate agents. Heavy ties to the Military community enforce the idea of service before self for this 100% Veteran Owned brokerage.

Andy is the definition of dusting yourself off and getting back up after being knocked down. He has experienced the best and worst sides of real estate, having to step away from the industry multiple times. Originally licensed in 2011, Andy saw immediate success and was quickly promoted to his team’s lead buyer’s agent role before stepping away from real estate in 2013. Two years later, he found himself back in real estate as the Sales & Marketing Director for a high producing team in central North Carolina. In this role, Andy led sales and marketing efforts that led to a nearly 20% increase in production year-over-year.

Itching to get back to the sales side, Andy reactivated his real estate license in 2017. Again, he was knocked down and forced to step away from the industry a short time later. Afterwards, settling into a marketing role in the corporate world gave Andy time to focus on himself and his family. From 2017 to 2020, he saw tremendous growth, both personally and professionally. He was married in 2018 and completed both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in marketing from Southern New Hampshire University (2020 & 2021).

Forced to work from home during COVID-19, Andy’s desire to return to real estate sparked again and he finally got it right! Since reactivating his license (for a third time) in September 2020, Andy has gone from a solo agent to top producer and brokerage owner. As an individual, he averages nearly 70 transactions a year and helps lead a brokerage that closed 1100 units in 2022 and is on pace for 1500+ in 2023. Andy attended his first Glover U event in July 2021 and became a 1:1 coaching client in January 2022.

Andy knows what it’s like to fail, and he knows what it takes to keep going.
