Stop posting in the moment and start capturing it instead | Part 1

I was having a conversation with a coaching client this week about their hangup with regularly posting to social media and what I have found with this client and many agents who struggle to produce content is that it's the actual "administering" part that holds them back.

Meaning, the thought of posting things in the moment is overwhelming so people don't post at all. That's not what we recommend. I never want you posting during your personal time or during your time when you're supposed to be doing other productive things such as prospecting, showing homes, etc.. that's never something I recommended.

What I do recommend is that you are regularly capturing footage.

I don't want you ever thinking about posting to social media in the moment but I DO want you capturing the moment, as often as possible, with your phone. I want you to correlate remembering to capture footage to something no different than remembering your wallet or purse. It's that important.

Then, once you have some photos, videos (hopefully you're in them too) .. then you can think about how and where to post. Capturing footage should be an all time thing but it also is brief and should never really interrupt whatever it is you are doing for more than a moment. Whether it's walking into a cool space, eating at a restaurant, showing homes or hosting an open house. It doesn't take much to capture it.

So moving forward. Let's break your thoughts on "regularly posting to social media" into two parts.

Part one is capturing

Part two is posting

Look at it like that and I bet you get yourself in a position to take more action on being present on social media.
