19 Qualities of a Live Unreal leader (Continued)

Lets wrap up the 19 qualities of a Live Unreal leader as covered last week during the opening session of leadup.

Here are the final three as well as and activity I encourage you to complete as I had everyone in attendance last week do as well, that is only if you want to improve your leadership skills:

17) LUL’s respect each other's boundaries and we also understand that we don’t get the luxury of saying no every time just because we want to or because it’s outside of a boundary. Sometimes our peers need us and because we value and respect each other’s boundaries, we would only ask for exceptions when it is something that is time sensitive and could impact our associates or the mission greatly.

18) LUL’s get that we are “in this together” and when one entity succeeds it indirectly helps the other and when one struggles, it indirectly hurts the others. LUL’s step up and help out where they can when they see another org struggling, even if they have nothing to gain personally because they know one day they may need the same amount of hands and support to help them.

19) Finally, LUL’s wish to set an example for all people who look up to them in both business and their personal lives. This includes family, friends, peers, associates and in their community. A 10/10 in setting an example would be living life to its fullest in your personal life (whatever you define as fullest is up to you) and being the best at what you do in your work setting.

Everyone in the Live Unreal Company embodies MOST of these but NO ONE in this room, including myself, embodies all of these. My goal for this activity is to bring awareness around these opportunities so we can be conscious about getting better at them and then at this same time next year, we will have a new list to work on as our business and leadership matures.

So here's the activity to complete. Youll need to print the list of 19 and youll need a letter size envenlop.

Envelope activity (Will be sealed and stored until next year):

  • Rate yourself on a scale of 1-10 - self reflection or habits

  • Write about 1-2 that you’re best at and how you intend to teach your people to also be good at that

  • Write about 1-2 that you need to improve on and what you intend to do to improve on those

  • Write one personal goal in 2025 that you want to accomplish

  • Write one professional goal in 2025 that you want to accomplish

After studying the 19 qualities and completing the above activity, you are well on your way to becoming a better leader for your family, your community and ultimately your business.
