I hope you enjoy this first Live Unreal Newsletter of 2021. When we look back on last year I think we can all say we learned, we grew and we were pushed to our limits. Those experiences, although many disappointing, are going to be experiences we will gain from for the rest of our lives. Think about the lessons, the changes, the sacrifices ... all of which give us wisdom that will come in handy later in life. For those of you who lost a loved one in 2020 due to Covid, or due to anything for that matter, I am truly sorry for your loss and hope by now you have found a way to cope with the pain of that. I too lost a loved one in 2020 due to Covid-19. Tom Kotzian was one of my first mentors and he was definitely one of my five even until the end. A longtime Realtor and well respected name in Michigan real estate, Tom taught me much of what I know about Real Estate office leadership and I am forever grateful for his believing in me enough to share his wisdom. If you knew Tom (he came to many of our events), you couldn't have spent more than a few minutes with him without cracking a smile. It always seemed like his life mission was to make others laugh and we will all certainly miss that.
2021 is already shaping up to be a year like no other. Aside from a strong Real Estate market, it appears as if it's going to be another great year for learning, growing and making money! By now you should have completed your business plan (if not I included ours in this edition) and you should've also identified your knowledge needs. A regular part of my time spent business planning is my time spent figuring out what I need to learn to stay sharp and on top of my game.
